The scholarships apply to Advanced Midwifery Studies, our 39 month course. (Do not apply for scholarship if you are already or have been an AMS enrollee. Scholarships are NOT retroactive: apply to new enrollees’ tuition only and are deducted from total tuition, not deposit amount. May be used in conjunction with a limited number of other discount offers. Ask for list of discounts that may apply to you such as membership in Helping Hands Connection, Midwives to Be, VIPor for Payment in Full.
State Scholarships
Canadian Scholarship varies $100 - $200 – call 918-720-2717
Application required. There is no application fee for the scholarships above but we do have several other scholarships that require a $35 fee for application. PayPal preferred. (Refunded if we do not grant you the scholarship.)

(Do not apply for scholarship if you are already or have been an AMS enrollee. May be used in conjunction with a limited number of other discount offers. Ask for list of discounts that may apply to you such as membership in Helping Hands Connection, Midwives to Be, VIP [VIP discounts will probably not be used in conjunction with any scholarship] or for Payment in Full.
Residents of these states and any Canadian province may enroll in Introduction to Midwifery at a 20% discount at any time.

MMP- Midwifery Multiplication Project *
$1000 scholarship. 2 granted per year. Prerequisite special research
assignment, demonstrate promotion of apprenticeship and home
birth midwifery prior to application. Promise to train a minimum
of three apprentices and provide community education for two
years.
Davidson - Cohee *
$600 scholarship. 2 granted per year. Requires extensive research
on cancers that affect women. (This scholarship was founded to
honor the memory of two of our enrollees.)
Tammy Mundell *
$500 scholarship. 1 granted per year. Resident of Arizona. Work
study scholarship. Some research required. (Founded to honor
the memory of Tammy Mundell, an Arizona enrollee.)
Helping Hands *
$500 scholarship. 2 granted per year. Requires community education
and childbirth education (Teach 16 series in four years).
Legacy Award *
Awarded to the daughter or granddaughter of a midwife. $500.
Double if applicant is the daughter of an AAMI graduate. Contact

AAMI Dedicated Study Group Scholarship
*
For serious groups of 3 or more who agree to ongoing group study
meetings a minimum of 8 hours a month. This scholarship is only
valid for payment in full. Scholarship amount is determined by
number of enrollees and state (state scholarships may also apply.)
Scholarship amount is deducted from regular tuition, then 20%
payment in full discount applied.
Referral Scholarships
Midwife at Heart
Awarded to someone who has been recommended to the director as
someone with the desire but lack of financial resources. Amount
varies. No application. Director offers to someone who has indicated
interest.
Minnie Stigall Tomlinson Warner (In
honor of Carla’s grandmother)
If you know a graduate, ask her to recommend you for this $1100
referral scholarship. 1 per year. By recommendation of graduate
ONLY.
