Study midwifery with the brightest students in the world in our “Virtual Classroom”... join the AAMI Online Study Group.

Would you like the benefits of an interactive classroom atmosphere while still maintaining the flexibility of self-directed study? Then the AAMI online study group is perfect for you. This “online classroom” provides a place for AAMI students to get to know other enrollees in a warm and welcoming environment. The forum provides many ways to be more richly involved with AAMI, as well.

"There are weekly pop quizzes, games of terminology tag, and opportunities to connect with a mentor/mentee. Additionally, the online study group is a place for you to ask specific questions regarding the curriculum, current midwifery topics, apprenticeships and hands on experience, and anything else that crosses your birth focused mind! Consider making your AAMI educational experience even richer by joining the online study group. You’ll find many new friends just waiting to meet you."

"The online study group is a wonderful bonus! I think that in some ways it is my favorite part of AAMI. I get to know the other students and staff so well. Great friendships are formed and I do not feel so alone doing a distance course. The online part is a big reason I chose AAMI. I knew that I couldn’t move to go to school but that I would need the support of people around me. The pop quizzes are wonderful, too. They help motivate me and encourage to to want to learn more!"

Membership in the Online Study Group requires a signed agreement which outlines our expectations for courteous and effective list communication. Membership may be revoked for repeated infractions of the agreement. OSG membership commences (if agreement has been made) at the time of shipment of curriculum. Prior to that all students, whether OSG applicants or not, receive communication as part of the Preliminary Group.

Life offers two great gifts: time and the ability to choose how we spend it. Planning is a process of choosing among those many options. If we do not choose to plan, then we choose to have others plan for us.
